Work at Play is looking for a programmer to join our team. You likely excel at one core language, but are more than competent in a host of other languages and web technologies - because you live for this stuff and love learning new things. Delivering projects with the best technology is what really matters to you. You're a creative problem solver that loves to work with designers and UX experts to find solutions to problems.
What we're looking for:
You're a programmer, fascinated by the latest web technologies and theories. You follow key people and communities, and have a passion in your areas of interest, attending meetups, user groups, and conferences. You contribute to open source, or have pet projects on the go.
As a programmer, you enjoy working collaboratively with others, and are comfortable with clients (don't worry, our project managers will take care of the day to day stuff). You're self-motivated, and prefer to ask questions rather than follow blindly. You love thinking up solutions, and are able to understand and mix business requirements with the technical aspects.
Strong pluses include a familiarity with Drupal, design patterns, *nix environments, random API's, and a keen interest in the mobile space.
Take a look at our portfolio to see the types of projects we've been doing.
The random acronyms:
We work mainly with PHP, Python, and Javascript, but perhaps you also dabble in Objective C. Source control is a given, as are OOP principles. Most of our programmers are on Mac OS X, but we don't discriminate.
